What to do in Teluk Intan, Perak? Teluk Intan is two hours from Kuala Lumpur. When you are there, you can visit Menara Jam Condong. You need to pay small entrance fees to go in. There are nothing much to see inside, just some historical pictures on the wall. Becareful when you climb out the stairs, it is quite narrow.
I can say there is nothing much to see here in Teluk Intan. My main reason to be there was food only.
Food
1. Teck Kee Dim Sum
– Located at Jalan Sithambaran Pillay
– Nice breakfast. They have dim sum, pao, egg tart
2. Gerai Makanan Wan Kee
– This stall located in Jalan Maharani
– Nice Glutinous Rice. They have three types, white, yellow and brown. I personally like the brown one, which added dark soya sauce. The char siew (barbecued pork) was nice too.
3. Kedai Kopi Ah Wah
– Located Jalan Syed Abu Bakar
– For those who like to eat mee rebus, you can come eat this. It is delicious. They have other food like mee kari, mee kicap, mee soup and yong taofu
4. Sin Joo Heong Confectionery
– Located at Jalan Mak Intan
– For those who love, heong peah, is a must to come here. I personally love their coconut candy. Until now, I can find other coconut candy better than them. They also sell other biscuits too.
Recommended hotel
1. Yew Boutique hotel
– Located at Jalan Pasar
– This hotel has all sort amenities to make sure you are comfortable. You can ask for toothbrush, razor without additional charge. They also provide hairdryer and slippers.
– Best of all, the famous chee cheong fun (Liew Kee Chee Cheong Fun) is just opposite the road. It is recommended to buy at night, it is still warm and it is so delicious while it is warm.
